WFYC Cadet Easter Sailing Event
Join us for a fun Easter sailing challenge at WFYC!
Cadets will sail a course around the water to hunt for points, testing their sailing skills and navigation. Once everyone is ashore, we’ll warm up with a basket meal and finish the event with a special Easter prize.

⚠️ Please note: This is a club-run event, not a formal training session, so on-water support will not be at the same level as during training events.
For younger or less confident cadets, parents are welcome to helm or crew, or there will be some adults and older cadets available to sail with them. Please let us know ahead of time so we can help pair people up.
🍻 Parents and family are very welcome to stay and watch – the club bar will be open, so you can enjoy a relaxing Bank Holiday drink while the cadets are out on the water.

Cancelled - Cadets Oscars and prize giving
Hi everyone 👋
Unfortunately, due to poor uptake, we’ve made the decision not to go ahead with the planned Cadet Oscars event on 21st March.
Anyone who has already purchased a ticket will of course receive a full refund – we’ll be in touch directly to arrange this.
We do have some really exciting plans in the pipeline for this year, which will all build up to a Cadets Presentation Event at the end of the year 🎉⛵

Cadets Suffolk Marine Safety Tour
Tour of Suffolk marine safety, to include liferaft demonstration, lifejackets and personal safety devices.
This tour and information event is designed for the cadets to give them expert safety advice in the marine environment. It will expand on offshore and open water sailing.
We will transport the cadets via mini bus from Walton and frinton yacht club, departing promptly at 8am. We will arrive back at the club at 1pm.
Cadets Christmas dinner and Gingerbread house decorating
Join us for a two course Christmas dinner and a Gingerbread house decorating competition.
The price includes Christmas dinner followed by Chocolate Brownie and a gingerbread house making kit with decorations.
Cadets are welcome to bring additional NUT FREE decorations for their house should they choose to.
The gingerbread house decorating competition will start promptly at 1145 upstairs in the clubhouse, so please do not be late. This will be followed by lunch.
