Rigging, sail tuning and tactics with Michael McNamara

Any questions or topics you specifically want covered, please email tw@wfyc.co.uk

This is for a rigging, sail tuning and tactics talk with Michael McNamara, sail maker, sailing legend, wayfarer and hornet national championship winner 2024.

Dinghy legend Mike McNamara has so many world, national and European titles under his belt, in boats ranging from the Wayfarer to the National 12 and Hornet, that he has actually lost count.

Club Quay Day

High Water 16:04

The weather is an unworthy winner. This glorious summer has put the kibosh on Sunday's planned Stone Point Day.

But all is not lost! We're setting up camp on the quay.

"Club Quay Day" will feature the launching of our new paddleboards along with a do it yourself boatshed barbecue... you can, of course, bring your own picnic. The bar will be open for your "splosh". We're going to make it good fun despite what the weather gods are planning.

Dinghy Week 2022

Welcome to a week of Dinghy Racing at Walton and Frinton Yacht Club

We wish to extend a very warm welcome to all dinghy sailors, young or old, experienced or novice, to this year’s Walton and Frinton Yacht Club  Dinghy Week.

This year’s Dinghy Week will run from Monday 15th until Friday 19th August inclusive and will be followed by a fun day out at Stone Point.

During Dinghy week we will again separate the fleet into  three classes to give less experienced sailors some good racing away from the stronger tides, while still allowing the more experienced to have challenging courses.
