2026 Snowball Pursuit Race
Twenty hardy souls braved Sunday's sub-zero temperatures for this year's Snowball pursuit race. Things were not looking promising during Saturday’s race preparations as the weather was truly abysmal; a fact to which Anna, Chris, Simon and Harry can testify as they set off to lay a mark in Payasu in conditions that were more akin to fishing for cod off the Icelandic shelf than the Walton Backwaters. All returned safely but with various degrees of hypothermia.
A close call at the Walton and Frinton dinghy regatta 2024
This year we decided to enter the Walton and Frinton dinghy regatta sailing 3 up in our Wayfarer dinghy. We will cut straight to the chase, we had a fantastic time. Easily the most welcoming and friendly club we have been to in a very long time so join us for day 1 and race 1, as we try and find our way around the Backwaters in Essex.

It is with great sadness that I write the following, having received the news that John Apthorp died in his sleep on 10th July.
Raise Free Funds So Disadvantaged Children Can Sail
Walton and Frinton Yacht Club training centre would like to raise funds to be able to provide part and fully funded courses for disadvantaged children in our local area.
