Borrow a Board
We are excited to announce that Full Members* at Walton and Frinton Yacht Club now have the fantastic opportunity to Borrow a Board from the club. With the recent purchase of four paddleboards, members can enjoy the water without the need to buy a board. Whether you're a paddleboarding enthusiast or simply curious to give it a try, these boards are available to enhance your experience at the club. Additionally, to foster a sense of community among our paddlers, we have created a dedicated Facebook page where members can connect, get tips, and see organized paddling events. We aim to bring together like-minded individuals who share a passion for paddling while further strengthening the camaraderie within our vibrant club. So grab a paddle and explore the beauty of the backwaters with our newly acquired boards!

FAQs
-
This is a requirement of our insurance.
Full member includes Adult, Senior, Family, Intermediate, Student, Cadet and Overseas.
-
As the mega SUP is a multi-person board, the risk of entanglement would be very high with lots of leashes being worn.
-
PFD stands for personal floatation device. This may be a standard style buoyancy aid or a waist warn inflating belt like a life jacket (though usually not rated as life jackets).
Peoples preference of the specific type of PFD they use varies and so we stipulate PFD rather than buoyancy aid. -
PFD’s are recommended by all governing bodies. You may become separated from the board and so the PFD provides you with floatation.
-
No, you will need to bring your own PFD when you borrow a club board.
