RACE FOR THE FUTURE 2026

On Sunday 6th June 14 of our Cadets took to a race course paired with an experienced club racer.

Cadet Captain Arlo wrote the below report:

On Sunday 7th June we had our cadet scatter race following the success of last year. Beginning with 13 boats daring the breezy weather, each with a cadet crew hoping to learn a bit about club racing. With the wind not letting up some helms opted to head in, leaving 10 racing and cadets learning lots from the experienced club racers. In the end Simon H and Harry H, in a Feva, finished first, followed by Alex with his crew Harry in a wayfarer in second and Arlo and Max in third. Well done to all competitors braving the weather and thank you to all involved in safety boat, race committee, and experienced helms for allowing us to put on another successful event hopefully to return next year
